Dr. Huda al-Nuaimy

Born in Iraq, Iraqi national. Dr. Huda al-Nuaimy is Director of the Al-Rawabet Center for Research and Strategic Studies in Amman, Jordan. Before undertaking this role Dr. Al-Nuaimy worked as Researcher & Analyst at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) Abu Dhabi, UAE (2006-14). Dr. Al-Nuaimy’s area of expertise is Iraqi and Palestinian politics and she has carefully followed the shape of Iraqi politics since the fall of Saddam Hussein. Dr. Al-Nuaimy received her doctorate from Al-Nahrain University, Baghdad, Iraq. She was also: Assistant Professor, College of Political Science Al-Mustansiriya University, 2004-2006; Director of the Center for Palestine Studies, Baghdad University 2002-2004; and Researcher at the Center for Palestine Studies 1991-2000. Dr. Al-Nuaimy is an author, a noted commentator on Middle East affairs and a known public intellectual. As part of the Iraqi Diaspora she and her family fled the turmoil of Iraq’s post-Saddam violence. This personal tragedy makes Dr. Al-Nuaimy an expert of the highest order on the topic of migration and the displacement of people from their homeland.
